Thomas Edison invented...writer's un-block? 8-)

Before I get to the real purpose of this post, I have to rant.

It is bloomin' cold here in central Arizona right now. I mean freezin'! And what does a girl naturally want when it's freezing cold? Hot chocolate made from milk, with plenty of MARSHMALLOWS.

Enter the crisis.

There isn't a marshmallow to be had in this town! ARGH!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I only went to two grocery stores and that can't be a representation of the entire city, but both stores - the 2-3 shelves they each set aside for nice wonderful, soft fluffy marshmallows. . .empty. Naked shelf space.

The only exception being some bags of those disgusting colored/flavored marshmallows. YUCK!!!!!

So I did not get my hot chocolate with marshmallows tonight and I am not a happy camper. Evidently everyone else in Arizona had the same idea and beat me to it. (dramatic sigh and sniff here).

On a good note, stumbling across Thomas Edison's quote about opportunity being dressed in coveralls and looking like work seemed to do the trick. For 2 straight days I've been able to work on my novel and got a chapter revised. Okay, not earth shattering I suppose. But if you've been floundering around with your writing like I have recently, it's like getting your driver's license or something. 8-)

So, if you live in a town that isn't in the midst of The Great Marshmallow Famine, please eat a few for me in celebration -- then get back to your keyboard and write like the wind! You've got a story to tell, after all! 8-)
