I went to Amazon via the link you provided and sure enough--this is a book cover I had seen before but skipped over, because experience has taught me that usually when a woman in a dress is on the cover, a romance quickly ensues.

That's one of the reasons I wish publishers and authors would think outside the box on book covers and stop relying on the same old stuff. But I guess it's not worth it from their standpoint since I'd be considered part of a tiny minority in the marketplace.

Anyway, I did go download the first in the series to give it a whirl. One of the other things I've been doing in recent months in addition to working on my current WIP is taking classes to design my own website.

I've still got a lot to learn about the technical and creative aspects of designing a website, but it would be worth pondering what I might be able to do with an author website that is geared toward an on-going storyworld as well. Hmm....B.K. Their father dies immediately after their arrival. The main plot surrounds the oldest daughter, Ruby, who determines to uphold her promise to her dying father in the face of difficult circumstances. Through their trials, they learn to trust the Father while accepting the flaws of their own father.

This is not a romance novel. Yes, there is a woman on the front. Yes, there is a female protagonist. Still, you can read the first book for free, using the link I added. There are 4 books in the series. I've read only the first, and I kept thinking of you as I read. Okay, I thought of you and Bodie Ghost Town.

Happy Reading!King J's Queenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13448566467460557158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-902154887721919645.post-32087452678034731372012-01-27T09:32:33.551-07:002012-01-27T09:32:33.551-07:00HI Brenda,

There are many readers who want an ongoing series of books about the same town, characters, etc.
And like you said with the e-pub options, you could really make it work.
What a wonderful age we live in.
